Sarah and Max’s Chicago wedding took place at the Lincolnshire Marriott and their day was planned to perfection. Our own personal favorite touch was the cut-out of their cat that ended the night on the DJ’s turntable!

Sarah and Max’s wedding day took place exactly 7 years and 1 day after their first date. Their bond is unshakable, their connection is deep, and their love is strong. They share life together with a side of humor and their friends and family are along for the ride. When we started talking to Sarah and Max about their wedding day, we asked what special details they planned. Would there be a first look? Yes. What about the breaking of the glass, the signing of the ketubah, and a (what turned out to be fierce) bouquet toss? Yes, yes, and oh my god you have to see it!

When we’re in the planning stages with our couples, we ask for this information because we want to get an overview of how they’ve curated moments throughout their day. It also gives us an idea of how to look out for those precious unscripted moments that turn into memories. The moments when the emotion takes over, the energy is high, and the laughter is contagious. Like when the wedding party is fighting (playfully, of course) over the bouquet. Or the groomsmen are lined up with arms linked swaying to the music while the couple is on the dance floor. The curated moments, along with the unscripted fun are all included in our couple’s wedding video, so they can replay it for a lifetime.

Before Sarh and Max’s ceremony officially kicked off, Sarah popped champagne in her getting-ready suite with her wedding party. Then she was off to a first look with Dad and a first look with her husband-to-be, Max. Not so spoiler alert, it gets pretty windy here in Chicago. On the day of Sarah and Max’s Lincolnshire Marriott wedding, the infamous Chicago wind was doing its thing. Were Sarah and Max bothered? Not one smidge. In fact, after Max laid eyes on Sarah in her classic silk wedding dress, he even did a little spin for her to see his wedding day suit. Max-imum cuteness between these two!

Under the Chuppah, Sarah and Max promised to love one another for all of their days. Once they were pronounced as married, they both stomped their own glass - because two glasses are better than one! But the glass stomping was only preceded by a night of letting loose on the dance floor. When Sarah and Max made their grand entrance at their reception, the room erupted with cheers! To our delight, their guests kept that energy up for the Hora and pretty much every song the DJ spun that night. It was merriment and joyous celebration from beginning to end.
