WARNING: VIDEO JARGON AHEAD

The ceremony and reception were a blast, my wedding videos came out wonderful, but how do I share them to instagram?

Facebook is fairly upload-friendly, simply click and drag the file or share the direct link that your videographer gives you. Instagram is a different beast.

Most wedding videos are delivered in 1080 HD(meaning 1080 pixels up and down by 1920 pixels across). Instagram utilizes a max resolution of (1080 pixels by 1350 pixels). This means there will be lots and lots of cropping and your video won’t be viewed as intended. There are a ton how-to blogs and apps out there that can help you with this, but they are time consuming and some solutions may cut down on the quality of the video. So, why not go directly to the source? By letting your videographer know that you plan on posting to instagram, they can do it for you. I’m not saying everybody will do this, but it’s worth a try! Less work and more likes for you:)
