Medinah Country Club Wedding

Annie and Brad are officially married, and all it took was one epic, and opulent I might add, Medinah Country Club wedding!

When Annie and Brad came to us for their Chicago wedding video, we asked them a few simple questions. We wanted to know what was most important to them on their wedding day. What moment was it that just absolutely had to be on their wedding video so they could rewind and watch it over and over again? The answer from both Annie and Brad was the same. Footage of them with their grandmas. We knew then, before the champagne was uncorked, before the first looks, and before the speeches were made, that our bride and groom were salt of the earth people.

In fact, Annie had planned a first look with her Nonna at the church, before she walked down the aisle. Why at the church? Well, her Nonna was married at the exact same church, 68 years earlier. Isn’t that incredible? We knew we had to put our video magic to work and make this moment for Annie and her Nonna, one the whole family could look back on for a lifetime!

The next question we asked Annie and Brad, is what their vibe was when it came to music. We pointed them in the direction of where we typically source, in order to give them an idea. But they already knew, without a doubt, that they wanted something that would pair perfectly with the moments and emotions of their day. Music that was timeless, romantic, and would set your heart on fire.

We had all their information gathered, so when their Medinah Country Club wedding day arrived, it was all systems go! Things kicked off in Annie's bridal suite where the energy was relaxed but fun. There was a sweet moment shared between the bride and her flower girls and lots of laughter and cheers from the PJ clad bridal crew. But when it was time to slip on her gown for the day, Annie's bridesmaids were just gonna have to wait outside for a quick second! The rows of buttons down her gown were fastened by her Mom, while Annie’s Dad waited by the door for a first look with Annie. Annie and her father exchanged letters and gifts while her bridesmaids waited downstairs for the big reveal. And yes, we made them all cover their eyes as Annie made her way down the stairs! But, it was all totally worth it when they finally saw Annie in her gown!

While Annie had a first look with her Dad and her bridal party, she and Brad decided to forgo a first look. They did things the traditional way and saw each other for the first time, down the aisle. When Annie made her grand entrance, it was a flood of emotions from her soon-to-be husband, who was positively overcome with joy when he laid eyes on his bride. When they were announced newlyweds, the feeling in the room shifted from solemn joy to loud celebration. Everyone burst into cheers and a great big old round of applause for the newlyweds. But that was really only the beginning. Because when you have a crowd full of friends, family, and University of Chicago alumni (go Maroons!), you know the party is going to be lit!
