Fairlie Chicago Wedding
Miriam and Eva are married! Their Fairlie Chicago wedding was a great big celebration of the coming together of love, and above all, friendship. Miriam and Eva are the kind of couple who are not just crazy head over heels in love. They are soulmates, and more importantly,. they are truly each other’s best friend. They love waking up side by side each day, spending all of their time together, and taking adventures - with plenty of snacks at the ready for when that hunger hits!
The brides Fairlie Chicago wedding featured so many beautiful traditions from their Jewish faith which were infused with modern elements that just felt like them. The morning of their wedding, Miriam and Eva chose to get ready in the same suite. But only up until the moment they got into their wedding dresses. Their adorable flower girl (Miriam's niece) hung out with her aunts in the getting-ready suite, snacking on fries as she got ready for her big moment. The vibe of the morning was easy going but the atmosphere was full of palpable excitement.

Remember how we said Miriam and Eva only got ready together until it was time to get into their dresses? They wanted to schedule time in their day for a first look before meeting their guests at the ceremony. Dressed in their wedding day best, Miriam and Eva exchanged their first look just outside their venue, underneath the warm fall sunlight. It was sweet, romantic, and an incredibly raw moment of realizing they were about to embark on this amazing journey together. During their first look, the brides also exchanged personal vows. Because, sometimes, there are things you want to say to your beloved before your wedding ceremony. Miriam and Eva positively poured their hearts and souls into their personal vows, with all the happy tears included! We were so ready to get them both to the chuppah to make it official.
Their traditional Jewish wedding ceremony at the Fairlie Chicago included the Sheva Brachot ( the seven blessings), the drinking from the Kiddish cup, the signing of the Ketubah, and of course the smashing of the glass! Every element honoring tradition and paying homage to those who came before them. Miriam and Eva have a great big community of loving souls surrounding them. So when it came to their ceremony, they asked those closest to them to uphold their vows by taking part in their ceremony. Friends and family came up during each of the seven blessings, and special words were spoken by Eva's friend Pablo, who read a poem befitting of their love story. With the smash of the glass, the brides were officially announced married. As they made their way down the aisle, they went in for the most epic wedding day kiss, dip included!
When they made their grand entrance for their wedding reception at the Fairlie Chicago, Miriam, and Eva descended either side of the split staircase. They stopped in the middle to take each other by the hand and make their way towards guests. As the brides put it, everyone was ready to spend the night on the dance floor where ”awkward but enthusiastic dancing” was not only welcome but highly encouraged!
