The Palmer House Hilton Wedding
The Palmer House Hilton is an elegant wedding venue in Chicago and Caitlin and Tommy’s wedding day was exactly that, elegant. But oh so much more! Details were the name of the game for Caitlin and Tommy’s wedding at The Palmer House Hilton. And they went a little something like this, crisp and creamy white flowers everywhere, a candlelit dinner reception, crystal vases, gilt chairs, and a black tie event that was unimaginably splenid. Beautiful details and decor play such a role in a couple’s wedding day, but what we really look for are those incredible emotion-filled moments. We were there when Caitlin had a first look with her dad, and not only could we feel all of the tender sweet affections shared between father and daughter, but we captured them on video too! We were there again when it was time for Caitlin and Tommy to share a first look. A moment filled with overflowing joy that brought the groom to (happy) tears.
The dynamic of a wedding day goes so far beyond the details and decor. It’s the moments, the coming together of family and friends, and the unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience that the couple will look back on for a lifetime. Caitlin and Tommy’s wedding day at The Palmer House Hilton was filled with each of those factors. But the one we felt the most was the energy of their guests. They had an extensive guest list that filled their wedding ceremony when they were announced husband and wife. Later, their guests filled the dance floor at their reception when the 9-piece live band took to the stage and heated things up. Caitlin and Tommy’s people were there for them on their wedding day with loving hearts and endearing speeches.

In fact, the speeches at their reception were grounds for more happy tears. Which, let’s face it, are the only ones allowed on a wedding day! With their wedding party and parents at the mic, anecdotes, jokes, and well-wishes filled with support brought Caitlin and Tommy to tears. The kind of happy tears where you are laughing and crying at the same time. As much emotion as there was during their wedding day, there was plenty of merriment and spirits were high!
We already told you a bit about the 9-piece band, because how can we not?! But what we didn’t mention was Caitlin and Tommy’s cocktail hour. Of course, it was filled with hand-poured libations, but mostly laughter and glee. It wasn’t your typical “I don’t know anyone so I’ll hang by the wall” cocktail hour. Guests were in the mix, swapping stories, clinking glasses, and ready to spend the rest of the night celebrating the newlyweds. Between the band, the cocktail hour, the ceremony, and the first looks, we mostly recapped Caitlin and Tommy’s wedding day.
