Right off the bat, when we started working with Mariana and Jen, one of the things they told us about their Salvatore’s wedding in Chicago was that they would be spending the morning getting ready, together. They weren’t really vibing on the whole idea of a first look. Instead, they wanted their wedding day to be filled with intentionality. For them, that meant spending the morning getting ready in each other’s company. For Mariana and Jen, their wedding day was mostly about setting the tone for a long and grounded marriage. Don’t get us wrong here, they still had an epic party! But they wanted to approach their marriage they same way they do life, side by side.

Once both brides were dressed, they decided to have a first look. But not the traditional first look you might be imagining! Instead of a first look with each other, they decided instead to have a first look with the members of their wedding party. Filled with their closest friends, their wedding party, literally, jumped for joy at the sight of Mariana and Jen in their stunning white bridal gowns. From there, we boarded the trolley with the brides and their wedding party. It was a “drinks in hand, singing along to our favorite songs” kind of ride, and you better believe, every fabulous second is in their wedding video!

When it came time for the brides to say I do, a close family friend officiated over their vows. Mariana and Jen each wrote their own deeply personal, heartfelt vows to one another. And let us just be the first ones to tell you, that their vows were absolutely romantic in every sense of the word. Their wedding vows were a glimpse inside what makes their relationship tick and friends, it was all the very best gooey, melt-your-heart kind of moments!

With a pronouncement of you may now kiss your wife, Mariana and Jen were officially married! Their Salvatore’s wedding in Chicago was curated with tones of deep hunter green and crisp and creamy white. In fact, the entire wedding party wore hunter green, which paired perfectly with the brides’ gowns and the heaps of white florals all around. It was truly a sight!
