Have you ever seen a wedding where the couple simultaneously laughs while crying tears of joy? One of the best ways to describe Caitlinn and Patrick's wedding at The Starline Factory would be all the feels! The feelings of sentimentality looking back on their decade together, the feeling of anticipation as they become joined in marriage, the feeling of joy, happiness, and overflowing love. And it was all wrapped up with one big wedding day in Chicago!

Caitlinn and Patrick decided to exchange personal wedding vows during their first look by the water. Typically, this is such a private and intimate moment between a couple right before they meet down the aisle. But Caitlinn and Patrick were ready to openly share their innermost thoughts and feelings about each other, out loud. Personal vows are always so filled with raw emotion. The couple getting married gets to express to each other what makes their relationship tick. Like falling asleep at night while holding hands, those moments in college that are now memories since passed, and how much they are looking forward to celebrating this next step in their relationship. And Caitlinn and Patrick let the words flow freely.

Getting to witness they love they shared, AND being the ones that got to put it in video format, amazing. But, getting to see how loving, welcoming, and open their families are to receiving their union, heart-melting! During Caitlinn and Patrick’s wedding reception at The Starline Factory, both Dads (Caitlinns & Patricks) got up to share a few words. The words they shared were succinct, to the point, and absolutely right on the money. Words of welcome, words of love, and words of encouragement. And it was all followed up with one epic night of partying.

The Starline Factory is this kind of raw, open, blank space venue. It’s an amazing venue if you’re looking for something where you can be 1,000% creative when it comes to your wedding day vision. In fact, we were mildly obsessed with how Caitlinn and Patrick set up the venue for their wedding reception. Look, we all know that the “traditional” head tables of the 90s and early 00’s are long gone. In its place are typically sweetheart tables. But, Caitlinn and Patrick took the idea of a head table, to the next level.

Their long family-style table sat in the center of The Starline Factory. But, instead of sitting on either long side of the table, Caitlinn and Patrick sat side by at the end of the table which overlooked all of their guests. Freakin’ genius!
