Walden Chicago Wedding
What do you get when you mix two souls who are madly in love with one another? A beautiful wedding at Walden in Chicago! Hannah and Declan had a wonderful interfaith Jewish wedding ceremony at the Walden in Chicago. They recited their personalized vows under the chuppah with their parents on either side of them. It all ended when Declan smashed the glass, signifying to their guests that it was time for everyone to shout Mozel Tov at the top of their lungs. Finally, they shared an epic newlywed kiss, before it was time for them to head off to their ketubah signing.
Hannah and Declan each come from two different backgrounds. Two equally rich cultures full of their own traditions and beautiful sentiments. But on the day of their wedding at Walden in Chicago, they were both united together as one. In fact, their officiant (Hannah’s brother-in-law, by the way!) gave a totally moving speech under the chuppah about what the breaking of the glass signifies. He went on to tell their guests that when two people, from different backgrounds, come together in marriage, the breaking of the glass signifies the breaking of a barrier to create a new state that results in the combined faith of their partnership. And if you’re not completely teary-eyed by now, well, neither are we!
It was beyond evident to us that everyone around Hannah and Declan were over the moon for their union, and to be present as they took the next step in their relationship. Between the toasts (a beautifully moving one from Declan’s mom!), the personal touches added to their wedding ceremony by Hannah’s brother-in-law, and the tug right at your heartstrings first look between Hannah and her Dad (seriously, if the ceremony doesn’t bring you to tears, seeing the way Dad hugged Hannah on her wedding day will!), they were one couple who was all wrapped up in love from the beginning of their day until the last glow stick left the dance floor.

Aside from seeing how their friends and family conveyed their love to the bride and groom on their wedding day at Walden in Chicago, we also got a glimpse of Hannah and Declan’s love language. The way they make each other laugh, the moments throughout their wedding day when they randomly broke out into funny dance routines, and Declan helping his bride with her gown as the Chicago wind did its thing. Humor and laughter are a big part of the love they share. Personally, we hope they laugh together for the rest of their days!
In addition to laughter and humor, Hannah and Declan’s love story was laced with their sense of adventure. Adventure, and just the right amount of romance. Their vibe as a couple is very much: walking in the rain, traveling the globe together, and looking forward to sharing, well, everything for all the years to come. A fairytale kind of love story, with heavy doses of humor? We’re kind of obsessed with it!
