Kaci and Ryan’s wedding at The Carter in Chicago was pretty darn epic! One thing about the couples we work with, is they know how to have a good time. And, they’re usually surrounded by a big group of people who love them while they’re doing it.
For their wedding day Kaci and Ryan went with an ultra-modern style, and it all began with their wedding venue. The Carter Chicago is this amazing urban chic wedding venue. It's filled with exposed whitewash brick walls which is accented by twinkle lights, naturally. There’s also heaps of natural light pouring in if you’re going for that effortless vibe. It's pretty much a modern city oasis, all in one wedding venue. Perfect for couples who want that one-stop-shop kind of experience with their ceremony and reception at the same venue.

In addition to their ultra-modern style, Kaci and Ryan also mixed things up by taking a few traditional wedding day elements and making them their own. To officiate their wedding, Kaci enlisted the help of her cousin! So many of our couples have someone they love officiate their vows, and it’s such an amazing way to add a personal touch to your wedding day. In addition to their officiant, Kaci also decided to have a first look with her bridesmaids and her father on her wedding day. We have to tell you, Dad was an absolute puddle of mush. But then again, who wouldn’t be on the day of their child’s wedding? It was such a beautifully touching moment shared between Kaci and her Dad, and you know we captured all of it in their Chicago wedding video!
Want to hear about another beautifully touching moment during Kaci and Ryan’s wedding? Kaci decided to surprise her mom with a first dance! Mom wasn’t expecting to take to the dance floor with her daughter and she was beyond happy for a dance with the brides. After all, who made the rule book that says it has to be the bride and her dad? If you’re asking us, we think Mom deserves a dance with her daughter too!
Now that you know Kaci and Ryan are an ultra-modern kind of couple, we’ll let you in on another secret about them. They are fun-loving, the kind of fun-loving couple that makes sure everyone else around us is having as much fun as they are! When that level of fun translates to a wedding day, you get guests of all ages doing the limbo on the dance floor with light-up thunder sticks. But that was only at the end of the night. The whole day was spent in celebration! From an outdoor wedding ceremony to patio cocktails, and moments spent with the newlyweds with the Chicago skyline as their backdrop.
